Product details

V32009186 is a generic 2000W fan forced element made to suit Omega ovens that use that part number. It's a compatible aftermarket replacement, listed for the OBO654GG and OBO690GG, the OBO674X and OBO676X, the OO654X, OO664X and OO61PX, and OBES61, OBES63, OBES67 and OBES68 models. Omega numbers V32036509 and V32001562 cross over to this element, as does element code EG20.35583.000.

Omega oven fan running but no heat

Inside the oven, the fan element wraps around the fan at the back of the cavity, hidden behind the cover. Turn on a fan function and the fan draws air through the hot coil and returns it to the oven, giving even heat top to bottom. When the element burns out, the light comes on and the fan spins, yet the cavity never gets properly hot. A tripped safety switch the moment a fan mode is selected points the same way. Testing for continuity across the terminals gives a definite answer before you order.

Changing the element

Switch the oven off at the switchboard and allow it to cool. Remove the racks and fan cover, then unscrew the old element from the rear panel. On most ovens the terminals are accessed from behind, which means sliding the oven out of its housing. Photograph the connections, and compare the new element's shape and terminal spacing with the old one before fitting. Get a licensed electrician to reconnect a hard-wired oven.
