ULX220 is the genuine replacement water filter for Westinghouse and Electrolux fridges that have a plumbed water dispenser or ice maker. You'll also see it sold as 900404086 under the Unilux accessories name. It fits a long list of models, including the WHE6060SA, WHE7074SA, WQE6060SA, WQE6870SA and WSE6170SA. Pull out your old cartridge and check it reads ULX220 before ordering, because a few models in these ranges use a different filter.
Signs your Westinghouse fridge water filter is due for a change
Every drop that reaches the dispenser and the ice maker passes through the ULX220 first. As the cartridge fills with sediment and other particles picked up from the mains, it slowly loses its ability to clean the water. The usual giveaways are a weak or slow flow at the dispenser, ice cubes that come out smaller than normal, and water that tastes flat or smells stale. Westinghouse recommends fitting a new filter at least every six months, and sooner if you notice the flow dropping off.

Swapping in a new ULX220
Keep a towel under the filter housing, as a little water usually escapes when the old cartridge comes out. Remove the old filter, line up the ULX220 and seat it firmly until it locks. Run several glasses through the dispenser and tip them out to clear air and loose particles from the line. Keep an eye on the housing for drips over the next day or so.

No. The WHE7670SA takes a different cartridge, part number 900403941. For every other model, compare the number on the sticker inside your fridge with the model list on this page before you order.
How often should the filter be replaced?
Westinghouse suggests a new cartridge at least every six months. If the dispenser flow has slowed or the water has started to taste stale before then, change it early.
