Fan bake not heating? The element is the usual suspect
On fan forced settings, the round element behind the fan cover heats the air and the fan pushes it around the oven. When the element breaks internally the fan keeps spinning, but the oven stays cool or crawls up to temperature. Look for a split, bubble or burnt spot on the element sheath, and note whether the safety switch trips when you turn fan bake on, which can point to the element leaking to earth. A continuity test across the terminals confirms an open circuit.

Fitting a universal fan element
Isolate the oven at the switchboard or switch off at the wall, and wait until it's completely cold. Ovens that are hard-wired need a licensed electrician. Take the fan cover off, photograph the terminal connections, and compare the new element with the old one side by side before removing anything. Reconnect active, neutral and earth exactly as before, then test fan bake.
