With rangehood filters, size is everything, because the frame has to sit snugly in its opening with no gaps for grease to slip past. Measure your old filter, or look for R258020 on its frame, before you order. Wider hoods often take two or more filters side by side, so count how many yours holds.

Weak suction from your ILVE rangehood?

The filter is the first line of defence in a rangehood. It catches grease and cooking residue drawn up from the cooktop, protecting the fan, motor and ductwork. A filter that is clogged, warped or damaged cuts suction, leaves smells lingering and can drip grease back down. Filters that have been washed many times can also lose their shape and stop latching properly. If cleaning no longer brings the airflow back, or the frame won't sit flat, it's time for a new one.

Part details

Genuine ILVE part R258020

Rangehood filter

Measures 315 x 270mm

Sold as one filter

Size

315 x 270mm

Changing the filter

Turn the rangehood off and allow it to cool before reaching underneath. Release the filter's catch or handle, tilt it down and lift it clear, keeping it level so grease doesn't drip. Fit the new filter with any arrows or handles facing the same way as the old one and make sure the catch locks. Run the hood for a minute to confirm it sits quietly.

Questions about this part

How many R258020 filters do I need?

That depends on your rangehood. Our record lists R258020 as one 315 x 270mm filter, and wider hoods often hold two or three.
