Part R103794 is a genuine aluminium mesh grease filter measuring 508 x 172mm, listed for Chef rangehoods in the RR3C61 and RR2A60 ranges. Models on file include the RR3C61SS plus its W and BL versions, and the RR2A60 in SS, W and BL versions. It is linked to the numbers 900403660, 103794 and 103276. Note that it does not suit the RR3C60SS, which takes a different filter.
Greasy, damaged or missing rangehood filter?
The aluminium mesh filter is the first thing cooking fumes meet as they're drawn into the rangehood. Its layers of mesh catch grease droplets, keeping them out of the fan, motor and ducting, where built up grease is a fire risk and slows the fan down. Regular washing keeps it working, but filters eventually bend, tear, corrode from harsh detergents or lose the clips that hold them in. Signs it's time for a new one include grease dripping from the hood, weaker suction, a sticky film on the cabinets and a filter that won't sit flat.

Fitting the grease filter
Switch the rangehood off and let any lamps cool. Release the old filter by its latch or clip and lower it out carefully, as it may be greasy. Check the new filter is the same 508 x 172mm size, then locate one edge and push the latch side up until it clicks. Wash it regularly in warm soapy water, or in the dishwasher if your user manual allows.

This filter is the 508 x 172mm size. Our records note that a separate filter is used on the 900mm version of the hood, so measure your old filter or check the model on the label inside the hood before ordering.
