Product details
PHM70 is Scalex Plus, a descaler supplied as a pack of three 75g sachets. Limescale from hard water coats heating elements, pumps and valves, cutting efficiency and shortening their life. A descaling treatment dissolves that build up so the appliance heats and flows as it should. Always check that your appliance maker approves descaling, and follow the directions printed on the sachet for the dose and method.
Signs your appliance needs descaling
Hard water leaves dissolved minerals behind every time it's heated, and they gradually form a chalky white crust. In appliances that heat or move water, scale shows up as slower heating, longer cycle times, reduced flow, cloudy marks on glassware or surfaces, and noisy or struggling pumps. Heavier build up can trigger descale reminders or fault codes and eventually cause an element or sensor to fail. Regular descaling with a product like Scalex Plus helps keep these parts clean.

Using Scalex Plus safely
Read the full directions and safety information on the pack before use, and check your appliance's user manual for its descaling procedure. Wear gloves if the instructions recommend them, avoid contact with eyes and skin, and keep the sachets out of reach of children. Run the treatment exactly as the pack describes, then run a rinse cycle to clear any residue.
