This generic PAR16 globe, code PAR16-50W, is a 50W, 240V reflector lamp with an E14 small Edison screw base. Lamps of this shape are common in rangehood light fittings, where the built-in reflector throws light down onto the cooktop. It isn't made for one brand, so match the base, shape, voltage and wattage of your old globe rather than a model number.
Choosing a replacement rangehood globe
Rangehood lights live in a hot, greasy spot, and globes don't last forever there. When one blows you'll have patchy lighting over the cooktop or none at all. The details to check are the E14 small screw base, which is narrower than a standard household screw globe, the PAR16 shape, which is about 50mm across the face, and the wattage. Fitting a higher wattage than the rangehood is designed for can overheat the light housing, so stick to the rating marked on the fitting.

Changing a rangehood globe
Switch the rangehood off and isolate it at the power point or switchboard. Let the old globe cool, as these get very hot. Remove any light cover, then unscrew the globe anticlockwise. Hold the new globe by its edges, screw it in gently until snug and refit the cover. If the new globe doesn't light, check the switch and fitting before trying another globe.

Can I fit an LED globe instead?
LED versions are available, but they must fit inside the light cover and suit the fitting. If your rangehood manual specifies a 50W PAR16 globe with an E14 base, this one is the like-for-like replacement.
