Air conditioner blowing no air or making noise?
The indoor fan motor drives the blower that pulls room air across the indoor coil and pushes it back out as cooled or heated air. If it stops, the outdoor unit may keep running while little or no air comes from the indoor unit, the coil can ice up in cooling mode, and the system may shut down with a fault code. Worn bearings make the fan grind, rattle or whine, and a fan that runs slowly or only on some speeds can point to a failing motor or its control circuit. Check the filters and fan wheel for blockages first.
