Product details
HyChill Minus 30 is a hydrocarbon refrigerant, supplied here in a can under stock code MINUS30-450G. It's intended for trained refrigeration and air conditioning technicians working on systems designed or approved for a hydrocarbon charge. To dispense it you'll need the matching can tap, HyChill part HR-ADA1, and the bottle stand made for it is part HR-STD. Both are sold separately.
Working with HyChill Minus 30 refrigerant
Minus 30 is a hydrocarbon refrigerant, so unlike the synthetic gases in many older systems it is flammable. That changes how it should be stored, handled and charged. Work in a well ventilated area, keep ignition sources well away, and use gauges, hoses and recovery gear suited to flammable refrigerants. Before charging, check the compressor and system labels to confirm the system is designed or approved for this refrigerant. Typical jobs include recharging a sealed system after a leak repair or compressor change. Find and fix the leak first, pull a full vacuum, then charge by weight.

Handling and safety
Refrigerant work in Australia must be carried out by an appropriately licensed technician, and flammable refrigerants carry extra rules in some states. Isolate power to the appliance before opening the system. Store cans upright, out of the sun and away from heat or flame, and never heat a can to speed up charging. Read the safety data sheet before first use.
Questions about this part
Is the can tap included?
No. The can needs a tap to dispense it, and the one to use with this product is HyChill part HR-ADA1. The HR-STD bottle stand is also a separate item, so add both to your order if you don't already have them.
Can I regas my own fridge with this?
No. Charging a refrigeration system needs a licensed technician with equipment rated for flammable refrigerants. If a fridge has lost its gas, the leak must be found and repaired first, otherwise the new charge will escape too.
