This genuine LG door boot, part MDS67595201, seals the drum to the front panel of LG WV5, WV6 and WV7 front loaders. LG numbers MDS66651605 and MDS66651616 are cross referenced to it, so check your old seal or parts list for any of the three. Models on file are the WV5-1275W and WV5-1408W, the WV5-1409W and WV5-1410W, and the WV6-1410W and WV7-1409W.
Water leaking from the front of an LG washer
A front loader relies on its door boot to stop water reaching the front of the cabinet. The boot folds back on itself so the drum can move, and that fold is where problems start. Grit, hair clips and coins wear through it, and leftover detergent and moisture let mould take hold. Typical signs are water on the floor near the door, a leak that gets worse during spin, a tear you can see when you pull the fold back, or a smell that lingers in fresh washing.

Before you fit the new boot
Switch off at the wall and turn off the taps first. Check the old boot for any small hose connections and note where they go. A photo of the clamp positions is helpful too. Once the boot is off, wipe the tub lip clean so the new one seats properly, and after fitting, run a short wash to confirm there are no leaks.
