MDS66651605 is LG's genuine door seal, also called the door gasket or boot, for a group of WV series front loaders. It's listed for the WV5-1275W and WV5-1408W, the WV5-1409W and WV5-1410W, and the WV6-1410W and WV7-1409W. LG has also used the numbers MDS66651616 and MDS67595201 for it. This is the one hole version of the gasket.
LG front loader leaking from the door
The door seal is the rubber boot between the cabinet and the drum opening. It stops water escaping when the door is shut and the drum is full. Over time it can be torn by underwire, coins or zips, and the folds collect lint and detergent that turn into black mould. A split seal leaves water on the floor in front of the machine, usually during the wash or spin. Mould that won't scrub off and a lingering musty smell are other reasons to replace it.

Fitting the door seal
Disconnect the power and close the water taps behind the machine. Remove the outer clamp ring at the front, then take off the front panel to reach the inner clamp. Photograph the seal's position and where any hose connects to it. Fit the new seal with its marks lined up, refit both clamps and run a rinse cycle to check for leaks.
