Signs an LG washer door seal has failed

Door seals flex constantly as the drum turns and are nearly always damp, so in time they split, perish or grow mould deep in the folds. Fitting tips

Switch the machine off at the wall and close the taps. Before taking the old seal off, photograph where its drain holes and alignment marker sit. Remove the front clamp ring, then the inner clamp at the drum. Seat the new seal fully around the drum lip before fitting the inner clamp, then stretch it over the cabinet opening and refit the outer ring. Run a short wash to check for leaks.
