This genuine LG gasket, part MDS48436401, seals the door on a range of LG clothes dryers. In the TD-C range it's listed for the TD-C800E, TD-C801H and TD-C803E, plus the TD-C8031E and the TD-C8035E, then the TD-C809E, TD-C901H and TD-C902H. It also suits the TD-H802SJW, the TD-H803CSW, the TD-H901MW and both TD-H903 colours, as well as the DVH5-08W and the DVH9-09 in black or white.
When an LG dryer door seal needs replacing
The door gasket stops warm, moist air and lint escaping around the door while the drum turns. A seal that has flattened, torn or come loose lets air leak out, so the dryer loses heat and drying times creep up. You might see lint collecting around the door frame, feel warm air at the edge of the door during a cycle, or hear the drum rubbing on a damaged section of seal. A worn gasket can also let lint build up where it shouldn't, which is worth avoiding in any dryer.

Changing the gasket
Unplug the dryer first. Look at how the old gasket is fitted, whether it's pushed into a groove or held by clips, and take a photo before removing it. Clear any lint from the channel, then work the new seal in evenly from the top so it doesn't stretch or bunch in one spot. Close the door and check it seals all the way round.
