Sitting between the drum opening and the door glass, the seal stops water escaping while the drum turns and flexes on its suspension. Fitting the new seal

Switch off at the wall and turn off the water before starting. Release the front wire band, ease the seal off the cabinet lip, then undo the inner band at the tub. Position the new seal so both holes sit where the old ones were, seat it all the way round the tub lip and refit the bands. Test with a short wash.
