LG uses MCK numbers for covers and trim pieces across its appliance range, and our record lists this one only as COVER LOWER, without naming the appliance. A top cover with a close number, MCK68685703, is listed separately. Confirm MCK68686002 on the exploded parts diagram for your LG model before ordering.

Why replace an LG lower cover

Covers protect what's behind them, keep fingers away from moving or live parts, and give the appliance its finished look. Lower covers sit where they're most likely to be kicked, bumped by a vacuum or knocked during cleaning, so cracked panels and snapped clips are common. A loose or missing cover can rattle, let dust and lint build up inside, or leave wiring and components exposed. Because LG covers are shaped for particular models, the part number is the reliable way to get one that fits.

Part details

Genuine LG part MCK68686002

Lower cover panel

Appliance not named in our records

Top cover MCK68685703 is a separate part

Fitting the lower cover

Turn the appliance off and unplug it before removing any cover.
