LOF034 is a generic spark generator to suit the Lofra IWK900 oven. The spark generator is the ignition module that produces the high voltage pulses sent to the electrodes, lighting the gas when you push or turn a control knob. When it fails, the burners won't light from the ignition and you're left reaching for a match or lighter. Compare the number of outlets and connectors with your old unit before ordering.
Lofra burners not sparking or clicking non-stop
A healthy ignition system gives a sharp, regular spark at each electrode while the ignition switch is held. A failing spark generator can produce a weak or irregular spark, spark at some burners but not others, or not spark at all. Continuous clicking with the knobs off is usually caused by moisture or a stuck ignition switch rather than the generator, so dry the cooktop and check the switches first. Also inspect the electrodes and leads for cracks, as a damaged lead can short the spark to the frame. If the switches and leads check out and there's still no spark, the generator is the likely fault.

Fitting and safety
Turn off the gas supply and isolate the power before removing any panels. Photograph where each ignition lead and the power wires connect, then transfer them one at a time to the new generator. Keep the high tension leads away from metal edges. Gas appliance work in Australia must be carried out by a licensed gas fitter, and hard wired connections by a licensed electrician.
