A door gasket is the flexible seal that closes the gap between the door and the cabinet. It has a magnetic core that grips the steel frame and a soft profile that squashes flat to block warm air. Changing the right-hand door gasket

Switch the fridge off at the power point before you start. Open the right-hand door and work the old gasket out of its retaining groove, one side at a time. Clean the groove with warm soapy water and dry it. Push the new gasket in, starting at the top corners and working down. To check the seal, leave a torch on inside the fridge with the door closed in a dark room and look for light escaping.
