KIEYF5110 is the genuine Mitsubishi Electric gasket for the left hand fridge door. On Mitsubishi Electric fridges with two fresh food doors, each side takes its own gasket, and the freezer doors use separate numbers again. Stand facing the fridge to work out which side you need. We don't hold a model list for this gasket, so confirm KIEYF5110 against your model's parts list before ordering.
Signs the left fridge door seal has failed
The door gasket is a flexible seal with a magnetic strip that pulls the door tight against the cabinet. After years of opening and closing it can split at the corners, harden, flatten or come away from the door. Warm, moist air then leaks in. You'll notice condensation along the door edge, mould in the folds of the seal, frost on the back wall, food spoiling faster and a fridge that seems to run constantly. Run a sheet of paper around the closed door, and if it slides out easily in one spot, the seal isn't gripping there.

Fitting the left door gasket
Unplug the fridge first. Let the new gasket warm up at room temperature so any creases from packing relax. Open the left door and see how the old gasket is held, then remove it one side at a time. Clean the channel and fit the new gasket the same way, starting at the top corners. Close the door and check it seals evenly along every edge.
