It's a sheet that fits in the ice box area of the fridge. Our record doesn't give the models or the exact size, so the surest check is the number on your parts list or on the old mat. You can also send us your fridge's model number to confirm.

When to replace the ice box sheet

Sheets and mats inside a fridge's ice box area are simple parts, but they get handled a lot. Each time the ice box is emptied or cleaned, the sheet can be bent, torn or lost, and cold makes thin materials more brittle over time. A sheet that's damaged or missing can leave the ice box harder to keep clean, let ice or containers stick or slide around, and leave the area looking untidy. If yours has split, curled or gone missing, a replacement puts the ice box back to how it left the factory.

Part details

Genuine Mitsubishi Electric part KIEP89468

Ice box sheet, NR mat

For Mitsubishi Electric fridges

Size and models not recorded, match by number

Fitting the new sheet

Empty the ice box area and wipe it clean and dry. Check how the old sheet sat, which way up it went and whether any edges tucked under a lip. Lay the new sheet in the same way, pressing it flat into the corners. Let it sit at fridge temperature for a while if it has been stored folded, so it relaxes flat.

Questions about this part

What does NR mat mean?

NR mat is how Mitsubishi Electric describes this sheet in its part listing, and we don't have a further explanation on file.
