Changing the globe
Switch the appliance off at the wall and give the old lamp time to cool, as globes run hot. Remove any light cover or lens, then unscrew the globe anticlockwise. Screw the new 20W lamp in gently until snug, without forcing it, and refit the cover. Don't fit a higher wattage than the holder is designed for.

Is E17 the same as E14?
No. The number is the screw diameter in millimetres, so an E17 base is 17mm across and an E14 is 14mm. They aren't interchangeable. This lamp has the 17mm base, so check your old globe or the lamp holder before ordering.
