In a fan forced oven, a motor behind the back panel spins a blade that pushes hot air around the cavity so food cooks evenly on every shelf. Before you swap the motor
Switch the oven off at the wall, or at the circuit breaker if it is hard-wired, and let it cool. Built-in ovens are usually hard-wired, so a licensed electrician should do the job. Photograph the wire positions before unplugging the old motor and compare the mounting holes and shaft with the new one. Run the oven on a fan setting afterwards to check it spins quietly.
