HC004 is a generic 2.5m water inlet hose, 10mm in size, with a 90 degree elbow at one end. The angled end lets the hose turn sharply at the connection without kinking, which helps where a washing machine or dishwasher is pushed close to the wall. It's a handy replacement for a split, perished or too short fill hose, as long as the end fittings match your tap and appliance inlet.
Leaking or burst washing machine inlet hose
Inlet hoses sit under mains pressure all day, even when the machine is off, so an old hose is a common source of leaks. Watch for drips at the tap or the back of the machine, a bulge or blister in the hose wall, cracking near the fittings, or water pooling behind the appliance. Connecting the hose
Turn the tap off and unplug the appliance before removing the old hose, and keep a towel handy for trapped water. Make sure the rubber washer in each fitting is present and sitting flat.
