Signs your Haier oven fan element has failed
In fan forced mode the fan draws air across this element and blows the heat evenly around the oven. When the element burns out, the oven may barely warm up on fan forced while the top and bottom elements still work, or it takes far longer to reach temperature. Uneven baking and pale results are early clues. A shorted element often trips the safety switch the moment the oven is turned on. Look for blistering, a break in the coil or a scorched spot once the fan cover is off.

Fitting a fan element
Most ovens are hard wired, so this element should be fitted by a licensed electrician. Isolate the oven at the switchboard before starting. Remove the fan cover, then undo the element screws and ease the terminals through. Photograph the wiring at the back before disconnecting it. Run the oven on fan forced for twenty minutes afterwards to check it heats evenly.
