Fitting the felt seal

Unplug the dryer and remove the panels needed to take the drum out, which normally means releasing the drive belt. Peel off the old felt and clean every trace of old adhesive from the panel. Fit the new seal evenly with no gaps or overlaps, following how the original was positioned, using a heat resistant adhesive if it is not self-adhesive. Refit the drum and belt, then turn the drum by hand to check it runs freely.
