Replacing a drum vane

Unplug the dryer. Depending on the model, vanes are fixed by screws or clips from inside the drum, or by fasteners reached from outside it. Remove the old vane, clean the mounting area and fit the new vane in the same position. Turn the drum by hand to make sure nothing catches, then run a short cycle with an old towel to check for noise.
