Fitting and looking after the filter

Turn the dryer off and open the door. Pull the old filter out of its slot and clear any lint from the slot with a vacuum nozzle. Slide the new filter in fully so it sits flush. Empty it after every load, and every few weeks wash it in warm soapy water to remove softener build-up, letting it dry completely before refitting.
