Replacing the drain pump

Isolate power at the wall and turn off the water. Scoop out as much water as you can from the sump, then ease the dishwasher out of its cabinet onto a towel. Depending on the model, the pump is reached from underneath or through the base. Photograph the wiring and hose connections, swap the pump, and run a short cycle to confirm it drains with no leaks.
