The inner door seal closes the gap between the door and the tub while water is sprayed around inside. Heat, detergent and grease slowly harden the rubber until it shrinks, splits or flattens, and food scraps caught along it can hold it open. The result is water seeping out under the door, puddles on the floor or kickboard, steam escaping during drying and, on models with a flood sensor, a leak error if water reaches the base. Fitting the inner door seal

Switch the dishwasher off at the wall and turn off the tap. Note where the old seal starts and finishes, then pull it out of its channel and clean the channel thoroughly. Press the new seal in from the same starting point, working around without stretching it so it sits evenly with no twists. Close the door to check it shuts without extra force, then run a rinse program and look for leaks.
