Dishwasher top rack sticking or falling off its rails?

The upper basket rides on small rollers that run along the rails on each side of the tub. When a roller cracks, wears flat or comes off, the basket drags, jams halfway or drops off the rail as you pull it out. Sometimes the whole rack tilts, which can stop the upper spray arm turning freely and leave dishes on the top shelf dirty. Changing a basket roller

Pull the upper basket out and lift it off the rails, following your manual if it has end stops. Rollers generally clip onto a short axle on the basket frame. Ease the old roller off, push the new one on until it seats, and make sure it spins freely. Refit the basket and run it in and out a few times.
