Fridge light not working even with a new globe

The lamp socket holds the globe and carries power to it when the door switch closes the circuit. Changing the lamp socket

Unplug the fridge at the wall first. Remove the light cover and the globe, then release the socket from its housing. Photograph the wire positions or plug before disconnecting. Connect the new socket exactly the same way and clip it firmly into the housing. If the socket is wired in rather than plugged, have a qualified technician do the job. Refit the globe and cover and test the light with the door.
