Signs a Haier fridge inverter board has failed
Inverter compressors do not simply switch on and off. They ramp up and down to hold the set temperature, and this board supplies the variable power that makes that happen. When it fails, the compressor may not start, may click and stop, or may run unevenly. Both compartments then warm up even though the lights, fans and display still work. Scorch marks, swollen capacitors or a fault code can also point to the board. Changing the inverter board
Unplug the fridge and wait a few minutes before touching the board, as capacitors can hold a charge. On many fridges the inverter board sits near the compressor at the lower back, often under a cover. Photograph the plugs before you unclip anything, then move each one across to the new board. Refit the covers, plug the fridge back in and allow several hours for it to pull down to temperature.
