This genuine Haier duct assembly, part number H0060871302C, fits the fresh food compartment of Haier fridges. The duct guides cold air along the back of the compartment and out through the vents, so the temperature stays even from top to bottom. Haier also lists a B version of this assembly under H0060871302B. Check which suffix your parts list shows, as the two aren't interchangeable unless Haier says so.
Haier fridge cooling unevenly
Fresh food ducts sit against the cold back wall, where they can split, warp or get pushed out of shape by ice. When that happens, chilled air takes the easy way out and doesn't reach the far shelves. The result is uneven temperatures, food freezing in one area and spoiling in another, and frost forming around the vents. Ducts are often broken when someone chips away ice with a knife, which is never a good idea near the cooling system.

Fitting the duct assembly
Turn off and unplug the fridge, then empty the fresh food section. Let any ice melt naturally rather than chipping it. Remove the screws and lift the old duct away carefully, noting any sensor, light or wiring that needs moving across. Seat the new duct, refit the fixings and shelves, then give the fridge a few hours to come back down to temperature.

Tape rarely holds in the cold and damp, and it won't seal a warped duct. A cracked or distorted duct should be replaced so the airflow is directed properly and the fridge cools evenly.
