It closes off the top of the crisper so humidity stays around your fruit and vegetables, and in many fridges it also acts as the bottom shelf. Covers vary in width and depth between models, so check the number on your parts list first.

Cracked crisper cover in a Haier fridge

Crisper covers carry heavy items like milk bottles, watermelons and pots of leftovers, and the frame or panel can crack under the load. A broken cover lets the crisper dry out, so salad and vegetables wilt faster. Pieces of the broken cover can also fall into the drawer. If your cover sags in the middle, rattles, or no longer sits on its supports properly, it's worth replacing before it gives way completely.

Part details

Genuine Haier part number H0060851238

Crisper cover for Haier fridges

Covers the vegetable crisper drawer

Check width and depth against your old cover

Fitting the crisper cover

Take out the crisper drawer first so you have room to work.
