Haier freezer frosting up or door not sealing?
The door seal is a flexible magnetic gasket that grips the cabinet and closes off the freezer when the door shuts. Over time it can split at the corners, harden, flatten or lose its magnetic pull. Warm air then leaks in, and you'll notice heavy frost near the door, ice on food packets, condensation around the door edge and a compressor that seems to run constantly. A simple test is to close the door on a sheet of paper. If it slides out without resistance, the seal isn't gripping.

Fitting the freezer seal
Unplug the fridge first. Fridge seals usually push into a channel or sit under a retaining strip on the door liner, so peel back a corner of the old seal to see which style you have. Remove it, clean the channel, then press the new seal in evenly around the door, starting at the corners. Check the door closes flat and the seal touches the cabinet all the way round.

Yes, in most cases. Warm the seal gently with a hair dryer on a low setting, or let it sit in a warm room, and the creases will relax. Keep the door closed for a few hours after fitting so it settles into shape.
