Fisher & Paykel washers in the WL range draw their cold water through this genuine valve, part H0034001295BA. It suits the WL1064P1 and WL1064G1, the WL1264P1, the WL9058G1 and the WL8058G1. The valve is where the cold hose connects to the machine, so it's easy to find and compare with your old one before you order.
Washing machine not filling with cold water
The inlet valve is an electric solenoid valve. When the control board sends power to its coil, the valve opens and lets mains water into the machine, and when the power stops, it snaps shut again. A faulty cold valve shows up as a washer that won't fill on cold washes, fills very slowly, hums without water flowing, or keeps trickling water in when it should be off. Before replacing it, check that the tap is fully on, the hose isn't kinked and the small filter screen in the valve inlet isn't blocked with grit.

Swapping the cold water valve
Turn both taps off and unplug the machine, then disconnect the cold hose with a towel ready for the water left in it. Note how the internal hose and wires attach before taking the old valve off, or take a photo. Fit the new valve, reconnect everything, open the tap and check for leaks before running a cold rinse.

Do I need to replace the hot valve at the same time?
Not unless it is also faulty. This listing is for the cold water inlet valve only. If your washer won't fill on hot or warm settings as well, check the hot valve and the tap on that side before ordering more parts.
