Haier washer not draining? Test the drain pump
At the end of each wash and rinse, the drain pump pushes water out of the tub and up the drain hose. When it fails, the machine stops with water still in the tub, takes far too long to empty, or shows a drain error. You may hear the pump humming without moving water, or a grinding noise if something is caught in the impeller. Before replacing the pump, clear the drain hose and check the pump inlet for blockages, since a blockage causes the same symptoms.

Replacing the pump
Unplug the washer, turn off both taps and bail or drain out any water left in the tub. Lay old towels down, as water will spill when the hoses come off. Photograph the wiring, swap the pump over, secure the hose clamps firmly, then run a rinse and spin to check it drains without leaks.
