If yours has cracked, lost its mesh or gone missing, the machine can't trap the fluff and threads that come off clothes during the wash, and they end up back on your laundry.

Why your twin tub needs a working lint filter

As the water circulates in the wash tub, it passes through the lint filter, which collects fluff, hair and loose threads. Without it, that debris settles back onto the clothes, and some can make its way towards the drain where it builds up. Signs the filter needs replacing include a torn or holed mesh, a broken frame that won't stay in place, lint specks on dark clothes after washing, and slow draining caused by fluff collecting in the outlet.

Part details

Genuine Haier part H0030203602

Lint filter for twin tub washing machines

Listed for the XPB60-287S and XPB60-CS

Fitting and cleaning the filter

Switch the machine off at the wall before reaching into the tub. Unclip or slide out the old filter and check its mounting points for broken plastic. Fit the new filter so it locks firmly into position. Empty and rinse it regularly so it keeps catching lint rather than blocking up.

Questions about this part

How often should I clean the lint filter?

Empty it after each wash or every few washes, depending on the load. Towels and new clothes shed the most lint. A quick rinse under the tap is usually enough to clear the mesh.

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0768/3489/7998/files/h0030203602-genuine-haier-twin-tub-lint-filter.jpg?v=1792026349
