Why a condenser dryer stops with a full tank warning
Condenser and heat pump dryers strip moisture out of the hot air and turn it back into water. That water drains into a sump in the base, and the pump lifts it up to the removable tank or out through a drain hose. When the pump fails, the dryer often stops part way through with the tank full light showing even though the tank is empty. You may also hear a hum with no pumping, find water pooling under the machine, or pull out clothes that are still damp because the cycle aborted. Lint packed around the pump intake causes many of these faults, so clean the filters and sump first.

Changing the condensate pump
Unplug the dryer and empty the water tank first. Some water will still be sitting in the base, so put towels down before you open it up. Take photos of the hose clips and wiring plug, and note how the pump clips or screws into its housing. Clear any lint from the sump while you're in there. Run a drying cycle afterwards and check the tank fills and nothing drips underneath.
