Product details
No hot water going into the wash? On the WH7560 front loader in P1, J1, P2 and J2 builds, as well as the WH8060P1 and the WH8560 in P1 and J1 versions, the hot supply is controlled by genuine Fisher & Paykel valve H0024000140B. If the machine fills slowly on warm washes, or water trickles in when it's switched off, this solenoid valve is the part to check.
Washer not filling with hot water?
When the program calls for warm or hot water, the control board energises the hot valve's solenoid coil, which opens the valve and lets water in from the hot tap. A failed coil leaves the valve shut, so the machine fills only with cold water, or not at all on hot settings, and may stop with a fill fault. A worn diaphragm can do the opposite and let water seep in while the machine sits idle, flooding the drum overnight. Slow filling can come from a blocked filter screen in the valve inlet, so check that and the tap before replacing the valve.

Changing the hot inlet valve
Turn off both taps and the power at the wall, then unscrew the hot hose from the back of the machine. Once the valve is exposed, usually after the top panel comes off, photograph its wiring and hose connections. Swap the valve over, reconnecting the wires and outlet hoses exactly as before. Refit the supply hose with its washer and filter in place, open the tap and check for leaks before running a warm wash.
Questions about this part
Is this the cold valve too?
No, this is the hot valve only. Machines like these use a separate valve for the cold supply. If your fault is on the cold side, send us your model number and we'll find the matching cold valve.
