This genuine door lock, part H0024000128EB, is the interlock fitted to a run of Fisher & Paykel and Haier front loaders. Older paperwork may show it as H0024000128E or H0024000128C. On the Fisher & Paykel side it suits the WH1060, WH1160 and WH1260 families, and the Haier models on file are the HWD8040BW1, HWF10DW1, HWF12D1W1 and HWX8040DW1.
Front loader won't start or the door won't open?
A front loader won't fill or spin until the door lock has latched the door and told the control board it is safe to go. The lock then holds the door shut while there is water in the drum and the drum is turning, and only lets go once the cycle is over and the drum has stopped. When the lock fails the machine may refuse to start, stop partway with a door fault, click repeatedly without locking, or keep the door locked after the wash has finished. A broken door hook can cause similar trouble, so check the door side as well.

Fitting the new door lock
Unplug the washer and make sure the drum is empty of water before starting. Open the door, peel back the outer edge of the door seal on the lock side and undo the screws holding the lock to the front panel. Reach in, ease the lock out and unplug its wiring connector. Plug the connector into the new lock, screw it in place and refit the seal. Test with a short rinse to check the door locks and releases.
