Front loader door won't lock or won't open

A front loader must not start filling or spinning with the door open, so the door lock does two jobs. Swapping the door lock

Unplug the washer and make sure the drum is empty. If the door is jammed shut, the lock can often be reached from behind the front panel once the top panel is off. Otherwise, release the outer band on the door seal, fold the seal back, remove the screws holding the lock and unplug its connector. Fit the new lock in the same position and run a short rinse to check it locks and releases.
