Front loader not draining or stuck with water
At the end of each wash and rinse, this pump pushes the water out of the drum and up the drain hose. A pump that's worn, jammed or electrically dead leaves water sitting in the drum, stops the cycle with a drain error, and can leave clothes soaking wet because the spin never starts. Some pumps fail noisily first, with grinding or loud humming as the impeller drags. Fitting the drain pump
Unplug the washer and turn off the taps. Lay towels down and drain the remaining water through the filter or emergency hose at the front before going further. The pump is reached from below or behind the front panel depending on the model. Take a photo of the wiring and hose clamps, swap the pump across, and run a rinse and spin to check for leaks and a clean drain.
