This genuine kit, part H0021800035KIT, replaces the motor controller on Fisher & Paykel and Haier washing machines. Inside the pack you'll find the H0021800035Q motor controller board, an H0020203590 housing, five cable ties and an instruction sheet. Supplying the housing and ties means the new board can be mounted and the wiring secured properly. No model list is on file, so compare the number on your existing controller before you order.
Washer drum not turning or stopping mid cycle
The motor controller takes commands from the main control board and turns them into the drive power the motor needs, varying speed and direction for washing, rinsing and spinning. If it fails, the drum may not move at all, may jerk or turn slowly, or the machine may stop part way through a program with a motor or communication fault code. Burn marks, a hot electrical smell or swollen components on the board are clear clues. Test the motor windings and the harness between the motor and board first, because a shorted motor can take out a new controller.

Fitting the motor controller kit
Unplug the washer and leave it for several minutes so stored charge on the board can drain. Follow the instruction sheet in the kit. Photograph each plug and earth before removal, and hold the new board by its edges. Mount it in the new housing, push every connector fully home and tie the loom back with the cable ties supplied. Finish with a spin test.
