Replacing the shock absorbers

Unplug the washer, turn off the taps and drain any water through the pump filter. Access is usually from the front or underneath once the kick panel or front cover is removed, depending on the model. Release the pins or bolts at each end, swap in the new shock absorber and refit the fixings fully. Do one side at a time so you keep track of which way up each damper goes.
