Cracked front loader door? Replacing the outer frame

The outer door frame takes the knocks from laundry baskets, kids and slamming. Rebuilding the door

Unplug the washer and take the door off the machine, supporting its weight as you undo the hinge screws. Lay it face down on a towel and photograph each layer as you separate the inner frame, glass and handle parts. Transfer them into the new outer frame, tighten the screws evenly without overdoing it, then refit the door and check it latches and locks.
