Changing the dispenser drawer

Wait until the cycle has finished and the machine is off. Pull the drawer out to its stop, press the release tab, often marked on the softener compartment, and lift it free. Clean out the housing while it's open, then slide the new box in until it clicks into place. Run a rinse to check water flushes through every compartment properly.
