When to replace the inner door cover on a Fisher & Paykel front loader
On a front loader door, the glass bowl is held between an outer frame and an inner frame, and this cover is the inner half of that pair. If it cracks, loses a clip or gets damaged when something heavy knocks the open door, the glass can sit loose or the door may not close evenly. You might notice a gap around the glass, a rattle during spin, or broken tabs near the hinge or handle side. A new cover brings back a firm, square door that closes neatly against the seal.

Swapping the inner door cover
Switch the washer off at the wall first. The door is easiest to work on off the machine, laid face down on a towel. Remove the screws around the inner frame so it lifts away from the glass and outer frame. Take a photo before you separate the parts so everything goes back the same way. Tighten the screws evenly and check the door shuts and latches cleanly.
