A front loader door is made up of several parts, including outer and inner frames that hold the glass. The inner frame takes a knock every time the door is slammed or leaned on, and cracks around the screw points or the glass can leave the door loose, rattling or out of line with the lock. If the door no longer closes cleanly, the glass moves in the frame, or a piece has snapped away, a new inner frame restores a solid door.

Fitting the door inner frame
Unplug the washer. Remove the door from the machine if that makes the job easier, and lay it on a towel glass side down. Note the position of each screw, the glass and any handle parts as you separate the frames, then transfer them to the new frame and refit the door. Close it several times to confirm it latches properly.
