Refitting the cap
Make sure the washer is unplugged before reaching inside any panels. With the drum cover and screw back in place and the screw tightened, line the cap up with the screw head and press it firmly until it sits flush. If the screw head is chewed or the cover is cracked, replace those parts at the same time so the cap has something solid to grip.
