Draining a Fisher & Paykel dryer directly to waste
By default the water collected during drying goes into a container you empty by hand. If the dryer sits near a sink, tub or standpipe, running a drain hose removes that chore and stops the dryer pausing mid-cycle with a full tank warning. This connector is the joiner that links the drain hose to an extension. A cracked or missing joiner leaks at the join, leaving water on the floor or running down behind the machine, and a poor fit can let the hose pull apart.

Connecting the drain hose
Unplug the dryer first. Follow the drain hose instructions in your user manual to route the hose away from the water container. Push each hose firmly over the connector, keep the run free of kinks and dips where water can sit, and keep the outlet within the height shown in the manual. Run a drying cycle and check the join for drips.
